POSITION SUMMARY
The Team Lead – BIM Architect will be responsible for leading and managing the BIM architectural team across large-scale and complex projects from concept through construction. This role requires a strong balance of technical expertise, project leadership, and people management. The incumbent will drive BIM strategy, ensure model quality and compliance, coordinate across multi-disciplinary teams, and mentor the next generation of BIM professionals while ensuring timely and accurate project delivery.
key RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and manage BIM processes and project execution from concept design through construction, ensuring full compliance with project requirements and BIM standards.
- Oversee model accuracy, coordination efficiency, quality control, and performance across multiple projects.
- Manage and guide a team of BIM Architects and Modelers, including task allocation, performance review, and timely project delivery.
- Drive effective multi-disciplinary coordination with MEPF, Structural, Landscape, and Infrastructure teams.
- Lead clash detection, design validation, constructability reviews, and issue resolution using coordination platforms.
- Develop, implement, and monitor BIM Execution Plans (BEP), workflows, and documentation standards.
- Ensure adherence to company BIM standards, naming conventions, LOD requirements, and digital protocols.
- Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Design Leads, and Stakeholders to ensure BIM deliverables align with project goals.
- Train, mentor, and upskill team members to build a strong and future-ready BIM workforce.
- Contribute to continuous improvement, automation adoption, and digital innovation initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture.
- 9+ years of overall professional experience, with a minimum of 3–5 years in a BIM leadership/Team Lead role.
- Strong expertise in Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, Autodesk Navisworks, BIM 360 / Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), and coordination platforms.
- Proven experience in managing architectural design development, detailing, and construction documentation within a BIM environment.
- Demonstrated ability in team management, task planning, performance tracking, and stakeholder coordination.
- Solid understanding of clash detection, multi-disciplinary coordination, quality audits, and digital delivery frameworks.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced project environment.
